🎄 This is Day 2 🎄

I love all things Christmas! And I want to make my home feel nice and cozy for the holidays. My style is very minimal, neutral colors, with pops of color. My theme this year is red and gold, with accents of red plaid, and lots of pre-lit greenery.  So here is what i’ve done to my apartment so far. Enjoy!

IMG_0414.JPG

On my entertainment center I wrapped some garland that I got from the target dollar spot, It’s beautiful and so glittery. Also, you can never go wrong with a few twinkle lights. This is also one of my favorite pictures from our wedding that always sits here. And one of our favorite scents from bath and body works, is winter.

IMG_0431.JPG

I had an exact idea of what I wanted to do for my sitting area, and now looking at it I feel like some furry white pillows would really complete the look. So now I’m in the lookout for the perfect ones. But for now, I found the type of throw pillows I wanted, not quite the color because they’re a bit dull, but the look of them. You have no idea what we went through to find these.

IMG_0423.JPG

We only have room for one side table, but I can’t forget about it. Even though it’s in the far corner, I still have to make it a little festive. So I got this set of 3 white Christmas trees that bring the some light to this dark corner.

IMG_0428.JPG

My Christmas tree is so special to us. We got about 3 or 4 years ago, when we first got married and we still love it so much! Again I go for a more simply, uniform look. I pick my colors for the year and I make it happen. I definitely don’t like the crowded look. Still on the lookout for the perfect tree skirt. If you have nay suggestions that would go with my theme, please let me know in the comments.

The kitchen this year, I decided to go with lots of pre-lit garland. My favorite is the 18 ft. by phillips #notsponsored. The lights on it are warm and soft. just absolutely perfect. Just threw some all around the cabinets, and i’m obsessed!

IMG_0417.JPG

This is the hallway corner that I never know what to do with it, and it’s always empty. I just filled it with this little table that I no longer wanted in my office and it fits perfectly here. What do you think of my small Christmas tree? and my little winter birdie?

IMG_0407.JPG

This is my office/living room, the room is a complete mess, but the background of my videos is on point!

I’ve never been interested in decorating our bedroom for the holidays. But this year I wanted to do something, and here’s what I have so far!

IMG_0383.JPG

There’s lots more I want to do in our apartment but I couldn’t wait to show you, what I have so far.

Thanks for joining me! See you Wednesday! xo, kat

My Christmas Bucket List (Day 1)| 12 days of Blogmas 2018 | Kat

When to expect a Blogmas post: There will be a new Blogmas post every other day in the month of December, Starting on December 1, 2018! This will be a series of fun/Christmas themed blog content. I hope you’re ready because there’s so many fun things that I have planned! Make sure you click the “FOLLOW” button to get a notification of when i’ve posted something new! Trust me, you don’t want to miss anything!

🎄 This is Day 1 🎄

This list will contain a sneak peak of what’s to come to my blog in the month of December. Fun memories that I want to create with my friends and family. Things that i’ve been wanting to do for years or simply traditions that, we have carried out for years now.

In no particular order:

1. See Andrea Bocelli live..🎤

It’s been about four years now that my husband and I have wanted to go to one of his concerts; we have never gotten around to actually doing it. and this Christmas might just be it. I think he’s absolutely amazing. And the thought of hearing him live makes me so happy. Fingers crossed that we actually get to go.

2. Take lots of pictures..📸

It sounds ridiculous for this to be on my list, but I find that the older I get, the busier the holidays get. Therefore, I tend to not take a step back and be in the moment, and capture a picture, to remember that moment, and that feeling forever.

3. Houston Zoo Lights..🎄🎄🎄

Every year we always say, “we’ll go this year!” and again we get so busy, and forget to do fun things, and enjoy ourselves. So i’m writing it in this list and hopefully I won’t forget.

4. Make a Hot Chocolate bar.. ☕️

On cold winter days, all you want is a warm drink. Why not make it easy for everyone to serve themselves a cup of coffee, or hot chocolate, with their favorite toppings? Also, adding a cozy vibe to my kitchen.

5. Go to Santa’s Wonderland..🎅🏻🎄☃️❄️

We went last year, and it was unforgettable. I hope one day I can take my children there. It’s simply magical.

6. Watch a Christmas movie every night..🎅🏻🎞

So simply, but trust me this is so hard to do, after a long day at work, or shopping for Christmas gifts, all you want to is crawl in bed for the night. But this is about memories. and we only get 25 days to do so!

7. Go to the River Walk in San Antonio..🚗🚗🚗

We’ve been to San Antonio countless of time before but never, during the holidays. I hear that it’s incredible! So we want to experience that as well.

8. Finding our Christmas ornament..🎄

This is a tradition that my husband and I started our first Christmas. We Still have not found “our one” for this year, but i’m sure we’ll find it soon. It has to be meaningful. Kind of like a recap of the year, in one ornament.

9. Baking sugar cookies..🍪🥛

WE have not mastered my mother-in-laws, sugar cookie recipe, But we’re hoping to do so this year. They are my favorite cookies to eat during Christmas time.

10. Make my apartment Cozy..🎄

The tree is already up.. But the rest of the apartment is still pending stay tuned to see what theme I went for this year.

There’s lots more things I want to do, but I don’t want to keep you here all day! I hope y’all enjoyed reading my Christmas list, and that maybe you got some inspiration from it, to get out and do something this Christmas. Let me know what you think in the comments, and leave suggestions of other fun things I can add to my list.

Ingredients & Step-by-step Instructions: *Hover over each Picture to know what the next step is

Tip: It boils super fast make sure you have the rest of your ingredients ready before this step. Don’t let the water consume.

Creating a Christmas Tradition | #12daysofblogmas

❄︎ This is Day Two 🎄

Yesterday’s Post: Musical Holiday Cheer

In this post I will share with you one of my Husband and I’s Christmas traditions. Granted this is only our second Christmas being married but I still wanted to share this story with you all!

ss

Christmas traditions, create some of the most awesome memories you can make! Whether you’re newlyweds; or been married for twenty years with four kids, it’s always so much fun and everyone looks forward to them. Keep in mind it’s not about how extravagant your tradition is, is about spending time with your loved ones. Also, The sooner you start them the better, Trust me it’s not too late!

n

Last year my Husband and I were newlyweds and I wanted to start a Christmas tradition for him and I. Something that we could do every year, just us two together. We don’t have any Children yet, but even if we did, I think it’s still pretty important to carve out time to create memories with your spouse.

If you watch our Vlogmas videos you would know that we love our Christmas Tree. Therefore, when I was shopping for Christmas presents Last Year If found this ceramic ornament that says Mr. and Mrs. 1st Christmas and I thought it would be such a cute, and awesome idea; to every year put a new and different ornament on our tree, that represents us as a couple, no matter if kids arrive later in life, that we still have this tradition to ourselves.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

And this year I couldn’t seem to find an ornament that represented us. Then at Target I found this Frame in the form of an ornament In which we can put a picture of us from our Christmas pictures shoot. I think that having a picture taken of us every Christmas and putting it on our tree, seeing how we changed appearance wise throughout the years will be such a cool experience! (Picture in frame coming soon)

When Making a Christmas tradition don’t overthink it! Keep it simple and fun, and trust me your family will appreciate you so much for it in years to come. Make this Christmas memorable, Remember the fun in Christmas It’s not only on December 25th; it’s also the days leading up to it that make Christmas fun for the entire family.
